Thomas Brigandi

Thomas PicThomas Brigandi is an associate analyst in the Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Group at Moody’s, where he covers municipal power, power generation projects, toll-roads, airports, ports, project finance and public-private partnerships, across the Americas. In the past, Brigandi worked for the US$140 billion Bureau of Asset Management at of the New York City Comptroller, where he covered the energy and natural resources sectors and reported directly to the chief investment officer. Brigandi is a director of global volunteers at the American Foundation for African Children’s Education, a multinational NGO which repairs primary schools in West Africa. Since 2006, the foundation has repaired 8 schools, built partnerships with many NGOs and policymakers in both Africa and North America, and helped over 9,000 children. Brigandi was the lead organizer for the NASDAQ Closing Bell Ceremony on Sept 23, 2011, hosted for the President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ernest B. Koroma.

Afrona Kaziu

Afrona Kaziu is an undergraduate student, majoring in Business at The College of Staten Island and currently works at the CUNY High Performance Computing Center as a research assistant for the Social Policy Simulation Center. She is currently assigned in support of the Geographic Information Systems group under the direction of Nora Santiago. Afrona has worked in support of a number of significant projects in the last year, including the analysis of ridership on Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus services as well as contributed to a study that estimated the demand for transit services based on household income.

Katherine Brigandi

Katherine PicKatherine Brigandi is an experienced associate in the Investment Management group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she covers financial audits of large asset management clients, such as JPMorgan. As a member of the financial services team, Katherine provides audit services to alternative investment funds including hedge funds and fund of funds.  Katherine has been at PwC since January 2014. In the past, Katherine had a variety of internships at accounting and CPA firms working on both audits and taxes, preparing both personal and corporate tax returns. Katherine has triple major in Accounting, Finance and Economics from the Macaulay Honors College at the College of Staten Island.
